1. KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE
Knowing your audience is a good way to start, by knowing the kind of people your song/music is fit for, you can get more listeners by having a specific/target audience. It's also a good way to build a fanbase.
2. THE HYPE
Know how to hype up your music, get friends to hype up your music or release by posting random things like "This woman's music is amazing" or "my bruv is fyeee". Things like this might not seem to have effect but they actually do, you could get a lot of streams if your songs are properly hyped up.
3. POST SNIPPETS ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA
A snippet is a short/brief piece of information, when we reference this musically, we're talking about a short/brief part of your song which you could post as a teaser to give your audience a sense of what's to come. It's advisable to drop a snippet a week before a release so as to create buzz.
4. YOUTUBE CHANNELS AND PLAYLISTS
YouTube channels are actually a great way to get your music out there, submit your songs to YouTube channels which upload songs from your genre. Playlists are also another great way to get more streams and listeners, playlisters are usually everywhere, just find a playlist that fits your sound.
5. BLOGS
It might not look like it but blogs are a great way to promote your music and build some cred as an artist, when people look you up, the article would pop up plus the blog already has its audience. You could pay for ads or find musically Inclined blogs that interview artists.
6. KEEP IT GOING
Do this consistently, even if you don't have a new song. By doing this, you'll get more eyes on your music and more ears streaming your songs. More ways to promote your music would be posted soon, just keep checking the blog.
